I don't normally break a sentence between two pages. It doesn't really work for
webcomics, but I figured I could get away with it one time.

Michelle's suddenly a blonde now, as opposed to having YELLOW hair.

You'll notice the coloring and art becoming slowly more experimental as the chapter goes
on.

Comment on Quality of Dasien
Mr. Neil, May 06, 2007
Being an artist means that you inevitably begin hating all your old work. At the time I
drew this, I believed that chapters 1-3 (the first 60 pages) were awful and that Chapter 4
was a notable improvement. I now believe that ALL comics preceeding this page are
terrible, but the fans don't, so I guess I can be somewhat proud of my work.
Incidentally, this joke is based on the fact that I redrew all of my old comics prior to January 2005. Restarting your comic is something I don't ever recommend, but I thought it would be fun to scare a few of my fans with this threat. I don't ever plan to redraw all of my old pages, unless I can get someone else to do it.
And on a final note, take a look at the coloring of the first three panels here. I'd been changing my coloring theories of late, and you'll see a lot more subdued colors in Dasien. No more bright reds, greens, yellows, and blues, boys and girls!

Comment on Crossover Wars Invasion Part 2 of Dasien
Mr. Neil, May 06, 2007
If you follow a lot of online comics, you've probably seen the Crossover Wars weaving in
and out of different stories. The events of this particular comic was really the dawn of
what became the "Super Wars". Apparently, I was directly responsible for
awarding the invasion droids with the ability to fly. Hey, if I hadn't done it, somebody
else would have. Androids who take on superheroes would almost necessarily have to fly,
don't you think?

This page and the following page has nothing to do with the Dasien storyline. It kind of
"fits" into the situation chronologically, but there would be no adverse
consequence if you simply ignored these two pages.
In fact, if you want to avoid all confusion, please ignore this and the following page.

This page is somewhat better than the last page. The panels are a little tighter, and I'm
not using such garish colors for the generic background coloring.

These backgrounds are a sin. I was rushing through a lot of these pages, so I didn't
bother doing backgrounds. The usual remedy for that was to do some sort of weird
background. Of course, these days, the preferred solution is to simply tighten up the
panels so that there aren't too many empty spaces.
I would also like to say that this is some of the worst coloring in the entire series. I'm almost totally embarrassed of pages like this.
