Freedom Max is a character who's never made an in-comic appearance. He may have been a billboard or two back in Liberty #1. I don't know for sure.

He did, however, play an active role in the novelized "A Bug's Fancy", which told yet another story of Gizmo Bug's insatiable love for the Platinum Patriot.

According to Greg Sestero's "The Disaster Artist", the famous Hollywood billboard advertisement for "The Room" had been leased by Tommy Wiseau at $5,000 a month for five straight years.

I thought having Gizmo Bug pass it might put him a little far north, but as it turns out, the distance isn't that far.
Gizmo Bug lampshades all of those gigantic boobs that were in the Liberty CG-rendered comics.
Murphy is a character who originates from Liberty #2. His power is that he shares a "soul" with the enigmatic Deimos, but Deimos can possess things outside of Murphy, such as robots, computers, and such.

You'll never guess where he is in this story.
Cameos by Pulsar Pureheart (who appeared in an earlier Dasien story) and Azumorph, who was on Dasien's team in Heroes Unite EGO.

Hmm... Who's that woman in the bottom left panel? I wonder.
Wendy Westbrook returns for a cameo. And you'll see another famous reporter on this page as well.

You know, I think I got a little carried away with the Dasien references in this particular story. There's one on almost every page.

By the way, you can tweet at Parker. She's @PLynnBailey.
So here's a comic I started last year, but I stalled on it and went to do something else. I always intended to come back to it, so here we are.

So Gizmo Bug has the blues. Is he lovesick over Goldie? Um... nah. Don't be ridiculous.

More tomorrow.
And there we are. Simply story by Robby Dadson. Check him out on DeviantArt!
This does not bode well.
Mel knows all about Dasien's wrath from that Scooby Doo nonsense a few stories back.
Mel is from Brazil. She doesn't get to watch American TV very often.
Here's a bonus comic.

Dasien is going out of town and leaves her apartment in the care of Mel and Star Warrior Robby.
Apparently, I never put this one into the Dasien archive.

This probably isn't canon, but it's fun anyway.

Hey, the last couple pages of A Hero's Respite were a little late. You might want to swing back a few pages to check them out.
And that's the end. Hope you all enjoyed this short, character-driven tale.

Things get kind of dark moving forward, so both of these characters needed one last happy moment.

For those of you who haven't, I strongly urge you now to read the second arc of Energize, titled “Hunted”. It deals further with Energize being on the run from Heroes Unite.

Seeing as the Energize/Dasien continuity was done ad hoc, I can't say whether these comics will add anything to the overall Energize story, because in the end, those stories are completely different. Luke and I have very distinct writing styles, but I hope you find Energize's role in the Dasien story line to be complementary to Luke's version of the character, and I hope that these brief encounters between the two characters will play out more for events set in the future.

One more to go! Check back late in the evening on New Year's Eve!

Incidentally, this epilogue happens prior to the Energize Hunted saga, in which Energize's powered-up form will appear again. But for now, it's back to his pre-Crossoverkill form, which you'll see on the next page.

By pure happenstance, Sean Boyer's Fusion has caught up to Crossoverkill as well, and you can read a two-page recap of those adventures right here.

As you may recall, it was Fusion who helped Energize focus his powers during that saga.

We didn't coordinate this at all. Talk about a happy coincidence!

I almost forgot to draw the cocoa mugs on this page. A very last-minute addition to the page in panel 1.

Mike seems a bit nervous about how to handle his powers, but Dasien tells him that sometimes he'll have to rely on his own judgment.
