@Alse: yup, I assume you know, but my point is it would probably take around 2 days or more for a dog to cover such a distance unless he's a machine that doesn't need any rest.xD but maybe some breeds are able to stretch their limits. It's an interesting topic actually.

@Alse, @Kique7: if "Keirr walks at 5 kmph, runs at 20 kmph (average, casual running)
Walked from Aira’s Lair to the Asmundr Territory in: 20h (with breaks)
Ran back to her Lair in: 8h (with breaks)
Distance between Aira’s Lair and Old Asmundr Territory: 160km "

Then: walking 20 hours at the average speed of 5km/h he would cover 100km. It's WITHOUT any break.
Running 8 hours at 20km/h he would cover 160km but again without any break.
Just sayin'.
Edit: he would have to walk 32 hours without any break to cover the distance of 160 km.

@blueshark: exactly, and honestly, I'm getting bored with all the shipping, not every character has to have a mate.xd there are many other types of relationships besides romantic ones. It would be nice to see a female character who needs/wants neither a mate, puppies, nor romantic love, rather some father-daughter or brother-sister relationship.

Oh... Will he be the one who finally kicks Kargo's ass? xD

@Zenqi: if he knew that he wouldn't make that mistake, also, it's not Old English.xD

@3Dogs: dude, the author himself already said to drop this topic. It's all clear. He's a grown-up and if he wanted he would elaborate on it, he can defend himself.

@bentboa's comments are apparently deleted, but I'm gonna reply to his accusations anyway. This comic has some issues, but I wouldn't say "tracing" is one of them. The artist uses some references many times, and so what? It's true that especially some of the dynamic poses look the same or very similar, but again, noone seems to care. A lot of people enjoy the comic because of the interesting story and beautiful art and it doesn't matter whether the artist uses the same reference two, thre, or twenty times. The comic is available for free and new pages are submitted two times a week so I'm not surprised or offended that he does that.

As it comes to static poses... Well, I myself am certainly not a professional artist so maybe I lack some knowledge, but how the heck is a sitting or standing dog supposed to look like? I mean, even different dogs, when they sit or stand statically and are observed from a similar angle will most likely look very similar. Sometimes the pose cannot be changed much. What is the artist supposed to do, come up with some impossible or anatomically awkward pose so that it looks "original"?xD

@reddog_f13: I'm not assuming that transferring from one body to another, like Khellir did, is easy. On the contrary, I'm saying that if they could do something THIS complicated, it would be logical if they could reconstruct Rohgir's eye or somehow "repair" Aira's legs. I'm aware that we don't know how exactly their technology works, but this is what seems logical to me.

@Kylor: exactly, that's what I mean. Their actions don't make sense to me sometimes. But on the other hand, maybe it's supposed to be like that, if we met some intelligent and highly developed alien species in real life we probably wouldn't understand their morality etc.xD
Tazzy

@reddog_f13: well, apparently the aliens can create a whole new dog body so healing Rohgir and Aira shouldn't be so difficult for them. They did mess with Lifa's DNA as they pleased, created a new species, so it's not like there are any boundaries for them.xD at least from what we saw in the comic so far their technology seems so advanced that, for instance, making a new eye for Rohgir shouldn't be a big problem.

As it comes to Aira, maybe you're right, maybe she missed other dogs and wanted to bond with somebody. On the other hand, I don't know if she had any hopes left of befriending anyone after all she's been through. And she knew that she would eventually die, either of starvation or killed by a beast, if she didn't have anyone to take care of her. I don't know, I'm kinda confused by her decisions.

@Adana: Yup, I have this feeling too, the more we learn about the actions of Father and the rest of the aliens, the more I dislike them. They just do with the dogs whatever they please without even thinking about consequences.
As @Maya87 noticed, why would Aira want her dog form back? She remembered who she was before the change and was aware who she became after, so it seems that she remained sentient and self-aware. It also seems that she didn't kill in some kind of frenzy that she later regretted, but was perfectly aware what she was doing. I don't mean that she did it with cold blood, but she wasn't like forced to do it by some spirit either, it was her decision. So if she remained a sentient being and the only thing she lost was the ability to speak (not a big loss considering she didn't have anyone to speak to anyway) it would be logical she would want to stay in a beast form. I would rather stay a badass, strong beast and be able to survive if I was her.xD

@silver_huskey: hmm I guess it might be a night beast because it keeps the distance and doesn't seem to be willing to come closer while the torch is still burning. But as you say, we're lacking detail to be sure of anything right now, so we have to wait for the next page.:D
Hiwever, the speculations that it could be a feline night beast got me really curious. What if it's Zilas? I have mixed feelings about this, because I certainly don't want him to suffer for all eternity. On the other hand, it would be a huge plot twist and shock. After all, I think at least most of us wanted him back in the story.xD if he really came back as a night beast it would be something new, something that never happened to any character in Asmundr. If someone died there, they were either taken by Fridulfr (was that her name?), or if they came back somehow (resurrected by aliens or by Manegarm) they just lived on. I know, Johaan is a half-demon, but it doesn't seem to affect him that much. Now, if Zilas was a night beast, it would be horrible and cruel, but that's how life on Aedra is supposed to be, right? Such fate is terrible, but I guess it's possible on this lovely planet. Oh, so many posiibilities and theories...xD

Edit: actually, I think it would be pretty realistic if he turned into a beast. We were led to believe that it can happen to anyone, that's why Ferah was afraid she would change if she died falling from the waterfall. We as the readers could also feel the real drama of it, because so far only some random dogs changed we don't even know the names of. But if one of our beloved characters changed, it would achieve a whole new level of being terrible.

@Nor: I always try to excuse Ronja's behaviour somehow, but just when I think she finally will act properly she's making her bitchy face at someone who helped her. She didn't even speak to Ulfr but left all the dirty work to Fuss. Jeez I really start to dislike her.

@Jonnaisgood @Brindle: oh yeah, I wish Raela could get some more spotlight. On the other hand, I know it's difficult to develop ALL the characters because the comic would be like 500 pages or more.xD but we'll see, maybe she'll have some more screen time.

As for Lifa, I had an impression that at some point her mind sort of shut off, like she wasn't even aware of anything that surrounded her. Maybe I interpret this wrong, but for me it was as if the disease and the green aliens took control over her completely and only when Rohgir nearly died trying to protect her she woke up from her trance.

@Jonnaisgood @Brindle: I agree with you that Lifa was a terrible mother, but don't forget that she had the red eye disease, so it kinda explains her behaviour. She probably wasn't able to think clearly.

As it comes to Raela, I didn't like her much at first, but then I changed my mind. Honestly, she had a great potential as a character, but I feel she didn't have enough screen time. For instance, it was said somewhere that she was a great huntress, but I think we've never seen her actually hunting. She could've developed into a badass character, Kainan's advisor and co-leader or something like that, but she ended up as nothing more than Kainan's mate and a mother of his pups and lived in his shadow. It's a shame for me, but oh well, her story arc can't be changed now anyway, so I'll just have to move on.xD

@Brindle: "Seems the rapists are more romanticized so they get more sympathy than the victims" exactly, and I'm shocked people think that way. Hell, how can anyone believe fairy tails like "there's good in everyone" or "everyone deserves a second chance" while there are so many examples even from real life which prove that it doesn't work that way? It doesn't matter they were raised that way, terrorists are also raised and brainwashed to kill, yet it's a poor excuse for what they do. Maybe we're not sure if Ulfr is a rapist, but we all know he's a murderer and he deserves to be punished for that. I've probably already said it somewhere earlier, but I'll repeat, I hope Ronja kills him with her own paws, fangs or whatever when she learns he murdered Zilas.

@Brindle: exactly, I agree 100%! I've never actually thought about Frea in this way, but you're right, she could have easily survived if the sky gods cared and helped. They have technology and surely advanced medical care as well. They supposedly don't want to interfere too much, but it seems that they do interfere when they have some interest in it... Anyway, to be clear, I also do not see it as a writing issue. It's good that some of the pack start to see that the gods are actually creatures that can make mistakes and that the dogs start to question them. And I like the fact that Johan doesn't make the gods perfect.

Anyway, as it comes to Raimo... Well, damn, I knew he had a temper but I didn't see this coming.xD

I have to admit, I've been sceptic of these two, but now... Their relationship feels so genuine and full of real emotions that they've become my favourite couple in the comic. You clearly improved and you're doing a great job at expressing such complex feelings as love Johan, great job. I don't know how you're doing it, but you're able to capture real emotions, the ones you can only see in the eyes of a person that is truly in love. One can clearly see love reflected in Roamer's expression. It is so heartwarming to see.:)
