Saki assesses her odd situation--trapped in a cage with a besuited British orangutan--and hatches a plan for both of them to escape.
Saki wakes up in a wooden cage with a talking besuited orangutan and goes into fight mode.
Isaac is plummeting toward the Brookwood Forest floor from high up in the clouds! Ava's got to think fast. What's in that fanny pack she's always wearing?
@Squirreltastic-Blue: Thanks! This comic overall has been a progressive learning exercise for just about everything. From character model consistency to painting and lighting to narrative and visual structure.
@Squirreltastic-Blue: No worries. A lot has happened in a short amount of time in this comic. Should just be a few episodes back, if you decide to check it out.
@Squirreltastic-Blue: Oh, not alone, though. Remember the weird kids with wooden masks?
As mentioned, the update schedule is a little wonky for a short time--but early is better than late!

Mallory sits in Brookwood talking to her father about her plans.
@Squirreltastic-Blue: She's definitely been privy to some odd things happening in Brookwood Forest.
Ava makes her biggest entrance yet when she comes to steal Isaac from the hedge maze where she'd launched a game of hide and seek the previous night.
I'm working on pitch material for the writers. I'll be doing illustrations for their ideas, which will be pitched around to a few studios.
@Squirreltastic-Blue: She really digs the sailor suit. She's a bit of a Japanophile.
Saki catches up to Mallory in Brookwood Forest, and is prepared to do battle for waking her up at 5 a.m.
Isaac tells Dustin about how Ava is helping him be weirder, and Dustin offers some words of wisdom on the nature of happiness and desire.
@Squirreltastic-Blue: Yep, remember she woke up in early morning at Cyrus's cabin when Odran showed up. She's probably working with about four hours of sleep. Good enough for a kid to adventure.
As it turns out, Professor Elemental's fantastic failure to fool the guard is actually an effective distraction.

It's a short one this week, due to the past weekend's festivities (birthday AND Halloween), but it's a bridge (literally) to the next part of the story.

We're going back to Isaac and his brother!

You know, back when I made this one, people seemed confused about what was happening in that last panel in relation to the earlier ones.

But you got it, sir.
Professor Elemental tries to fool the forest guard into letting him and Mallory pass over the Astralune River bridge, but the guard is having none of it.
Ava and Opal take to the sky on their way to Isaac's house, and the view is sprawling!

So... much... painting...
The next episode is posting a week later, because it's a huge overhead shot of Moonblush, so here's a detailed placeholder--lots of maps!
