Isaac tells Dustin about how Ava is helping him be weirder, and Dustin offers some words of wisdom on the nature of happiness and desire.
@Squirreltastic-Blue: Yep, remember she woke up in early morning at Cyrus's cabin when Odran showed up. She's probably working with about four hours of sleep. Good enough for a kid to adventure.
As it turns out, Professor Elemental's fantastic failure to fool the guard is actually an effective distraction.

It's a short one this week, due to the past weekend's festivities (birthday AND Halloween), but it's a bridge (literally) to the next part of the story.

We're going back to Isaac and his brother!

You know, back when I made this one, people seemed confused about what was happening in that last panel in relation to the earlier ones.

But you got it, sir.
Professor Elemental tries to fool the forest guard into letting him and Mallory pass over the Astralune River bridge, but the guard is having none of it.
Ava and Opal take to the sky on their way to Isaac's house, and the view is sprawling!

So... much... painting...
The next episode is posting a week later, because it's a huge overhead shot of Moonblush, so here's a detailed placeholder--lots of maps!
Mallory leaves the cabin with Ava secretly in tow. Ava must get to Isaac before Mal does, but she's going to need a little help from a BIG friend!
Saki gets up to answer the call. It's Mallory prattling on about some Dreaming Tree, and Saki vows vengeance.
@GabrielsThoughts: Well, the point there is irony. She clearly hasn't gone that far, but for Mallory, she's gone far enough that it's going to be a challenge to find her.

She's a precocious explorer and sneak.
Episode Overview
Cyrus and Odran come in to find that Mallory has disappeared, and now they have to track her to Brookwood Forest--but she has a few tricks up her sleeve.
@GabrielsThoughts: Coneheads reference?
Mallory wakes up in the wee hours of the morning to discover that Cyrus had never planned to help her get to the Dreaming Tree. She’s short on time if she doesn’t want to get caught by her grandfather, so what will she do?
A little gift for you all since I wasn't able to get a comic out this week. New one next week, though! The script is already up on Patreon! Have a happy summer, folks.
@Squirreltastic-Blue: Stay tuned, that's coming up very, very soon.
@GabrielsThoughts: Hahahaha. Achievement Unlocked: Master References
@Squirreltastic-Blue: Cyrus is a smart guy. He's already thought several moves ahead! His reasons will be revealed...
The gravedigger finally tells Mallory his name, and Mallory reveals why she's come to the graveyard. What do you think he's going to do? You ready to see the Dreaming Tree?
@Squirreltastic-Blue: You know, someone else thought that, too. I will tell you she's not a ghost, and she isn't dead. But she does lead a different lifestyle. More of that will come out as the story unfolds.
