i used to get nosebleeds from dryness ALL THE TIME. my mom soaked towels in the bath, wrung 'em out until they were a little more than damp and then hung them over the backs of chairs and left the excess water in the bathtub instead of letting it drain- then all of the moisture in the towels evaporated into the air so it wasn't dry in the house anymore :)
