There are a lot of things that could be said here, but first off, I'd like to start
with:
Hey. It's been a while.
I'm sorry this hiatus has been ridiculously long, but I have to say that I'm so ridiculously flattered that there are those of you who haven't given up on this comic, who've actually enjoyed it enough to come checking for an update and all. Thank you so much.
I'm going to try and pick this up again, even though photoshop and I are not really on speaking terms. Updates won't be very frequent this month because I'm currently working on prints for Anime Expo (if you're going to be there, drop by Artist Alley and say hi! I'd love to meet you :D), but I'm not ready to give up on Dear John just yet.
So yeah, here we go again.

THIS IS THE ACTUAL OUTCOME OF THE BATTLE.
No, in all seriousness, I'm so sorry for the lack of updates. I didn't actually want to declare a hiatus because I thought I'd be able to find time to draw a page, but I haven't been able to and it doesn't look like that's going to be changing in the near future. I should be writing a paper as I type this.
Hopefully this won't be long. The next real chance I have to draw another page, I'll jump on it faster than a pre-pubescent girl on the Twilight bandwagon. Rest assured, DEAR JOHN will live again!

@whistleonwild - YOU'RE ALREADY IN COLLEGE YOU LUCKY BAS- CONGRATULATIONS oh my god.
my first choice is Brown which I'm in ABSOLUTE LOVE WITH. It's the only school that'll break my heart D:
@fishuu - OH WAIT NO ahaha when you said U of C, I immediately thought of University of California OTL but I'm still applying to U.Chicago ahaha
+ 15 schools is pretty overkill haha but it's mainly like 3 UCs (1 application), RISD (which I will go to only if I get in the Brown-RISD dual program which only accepts 20 people D:) and a bunch where I'm like "hey, you're a school I'm vaguely interested in, and you don't require a supplement to the common app so WHY NOT"
@enzie - lol if I counted schools as those I have a chance of getting into, I have like 5 schools ahaha
PS - EXPLAINED ABOVE. geesh i need to get on MSN so we can talk AX plans D:

Time IS an issue now though. College requires much more work than I expected, but I will try to draw pages on the side.
Also, I got a new MacBook Pro, and tablet connection is an entirely new world on this. I have working pressure sensitivity for the first time! Also, the lines are super smooth. I lost that pixelated sort of look my lines tended to have; I am not sure how I feel about this.
And as always, sorry for the wait. :/
