Hails from Mobile, Ala. I'm an oil painter who just got her third gallery, but I really like me some comics! Longtime lurker of SJ, back when it was small, but I hardly make time to come here these days, sadly.

I paint landscapes and especially seascapes. I'd love to teach or get a job with NASA technical writing or drawing up in North Ala.

Oh, sure thing. I feel like the placement of text with those distracting diagonal boxes draws the eye away from the art itself. For example, in panel 3, the black is cutting into his head because of how the space is activated. With the gesture, it looks like the chunk of black is literally knocking him upside the head! @_@

Does that make more sense? 2 and 3 are the panels I have most issue with.

When you put in diagonals like that, you activate movement, which wars with the strong gestures you have going with the art itself. Let the art do the moving in this case and let the text and textboxes play a lesser role in the visual hierachy. (Smaller neater, straighter, or is you want to get the "thought" feeling, maybe something round and indistinct.)

Or at least that's this one reader's opinion. ^_^
LOVIN this comic. Recc'ed it for a spotlight. Hope it gets it. <3
This comic keeps getting better and better! (Print run someday? <3)
You know if I had a facebook that I would. This is one of my FEW PRIZED favorites comics. And this illustration, once again, shows why. Expression* So few people can get true expression.

Hmm. I'm not really loving the diagonal black boxes at the top there showing the previous dialogue. They're stagnating the eye for me instead of leading it. I think you have to be really careful with that sort of design... But this is a real nice comic. :> Found it on the forums.

Oh hey. Haven't checked this comic in awhile. The artwork has improved, I think. :)

I really love this comic! It's fun, and the color scheme is beautiful! The only one nitpick I have is with the artwork. Sometimes the faces get so long I feel like it breaks style and goes a little into awkward, as if the eye are a might too high on the head.

Beyond this, I'm really loving the characters. My favorite thing is probably your paneling and sound effect. It's lovely. Especially loving the warm, honey tone color scheme, too!

I don't know. WHAT. Took me so long to read this comic.

It's one of the best in this whole stinking place!

Hocrap. I'm sad there's no more to read.

I can't believe I enjoy your characters so much. I'm floored. I mean, it's not like I expected it from the get-go. I really like your characters.

This is a great comic! I'm really surprised! At first I was put off by how dark it it. I still think I'd prefer it better if it didn't have a mask of gray over all the artwork. I love shading, but I think it's a bit much. THAT SAID. Your artwork itself in fantastic! As is your storytelling, characters, paneling, etc. FAVE'd.
If I ever read a good yaoi, I'll eat my fist. It's not the gratuitous sex that bothers me. It's the total LACK of realistic characterization.

FIRST new comic I've read tonight that is well done. I was starting to lose hope! FAved, my dear. Awesome characterization, expression, paneling, and pacing. The full package!
Again, another surprise comic. I think it's the dialogue that got me to read along for so long!
I had stopped reading this because I thought the plot was off the deep end and the doggie girl's characterization was forced at times, but I do believe these redraw/edits and helpful in strengthening D 0 0 R.
