I began spriting with basically no experience on a stolen copy of Photoshop 7, but I slowly learned and made some pretty slick comics. I began to learn to recolor, edit, etc. etc. and came up with some great sprites, if I do say so myself. Then my computer died. I got a new one, also with Photoshop (CS3 instead of 7) and began to slowly recreate my massive library of backgrounds and sprites, making more comics and having a good job of spriting. This computer died about a year and a half later. So hthere I was with a PowerBook G4, making sprite comics with a program I am barely familiar with (Seashore) and having an interesting time. Having just acquired some sprites, and with no ability to even recolor at the the moment, it was rough. Finally, I opened up Bittorent and grabbed a copy of Photoshop CS3, and here I am again, back where I started, Photoshop in one hand, old computer in the other. I'm able to draw well without a tablet, too. Now that I have a program I'm comfortable with, expect some epic stuff soon!
Anyways, OMG YOU'RE GOING TO PUBLISH A BOOK OMG I WILL BE THE FIRST TO BUY IT!!!!!!!!!
And, yesh, thank you for clearing things up for me (EDIT: all the other readers, duh). Take as much time as you need, as everyone else has said, it's good enough that you're at least getting something done! Good luck in the land of beautiful and crushing college!
