Gosh, I love her hair. It's so poofy and floofy. You must have the patience of a saint to keep drawing her hair <3
Hope you feel better! :)

Also for the first time in like a zillion years there's a sketch in the vote incentive! I've been working on retooling the first chapter and fixing certain aspects that bother me, including how Greta Engel uhhhh kinda just looks like every other character with blonde hair. She's gotten a tweak to her design and colour scheme, so I put up a sketch in the incentive since uh, we haven't exactly seen the tail end of her quiiiite yet.

@Sonja: Thank you! :)

@melaredblu: Haha, I couldn't leave it now! But really, the poor kid's life is probably a miracle.

@The_Hankerchief: Thanks! Yeah, pretty lucky shot, huh :D

@Cave: Thank you! :D

@Theorah: Thanks! It's nice to be back, haha. And trust me, I want to tell more! I did end up putting a lot of thought into backstory... most of which, I don't think I'll ever get to put into the comic haha. Maybe one day...

Hi, I'm back :)

I don't want to harp too much on why exactly I went MIA for four months, but it was just a combination of the worst winter basically ever, and a terrible job that had me working my every waking hour between December and March. There's a lot I still want to fix up around the site that I'd hoped I'd have done by now (including, uh, a pretty grievous error I've been making in the past twenty-odd pages because I was too cocky to read my notes properly, aha), but that'll come in a bit.

For now, here's a seven-pager to make up for lost time. And first blood! And it didn't come from the guy that looks like death!

@burningtyger: Don't worry, I haven't forgotten! Only reason I haven't retconned them is... well, the same reason why the next page isn't done yet, aha.

I have to seriously congratulate you for being dedicated to this comic for so long! Ten years isn't something to take lightly! I really enjoyed reading through your comic; it's was great to see you mature as an artist and storyteller, not to mention a very entertaining read just in general. Hope to see it through to completion :)

@NitztheBloody: In all fairness, that's a risk most characters in the kinds of things I write take ;D Thank you!

@Tantz Aerine: A "Congratulations! You're still redundant" cake for the poor pawns is just too amazing of an idea to pass up, I, I may have to do something about this hahaha

Hello there! I ended up taking a break for the holiday season (as I posted in the news) (mostly because of work), but I'm back now! And... I guess let's start the year with some chess-based atrocities!

Somewhat unrelated, Atrium celebrates its fifth anniversary of being a thing this April. I'd like to do a little something to show my thanks for all the support, but I don't really know what to do haha. What do you guys think?

@Trsch: Oh, wow haha. I'm (pretty clearly) not so great at chess so I thought I'd had it aligned properly! Admittedly (and ashamedly) though, having through I was right I didn't do a whole lot of fact-checking in that aspect. Thanks for the correction! I'll have to go back and fix everything sometime before the next moves are made, aha.
