Stories of the Spirit World

Stories of the Spirit World

by EveVon
Stories of the Spirit World (SOTSW) is a supernatural coming of age story, in which a cast of young characters needs to learn to accept themselves and each other for who they are. But as they struggle, something more ominous in nature is slowly starting to take the shape of a real threat...

Some themes in SOTSW may be considered heavy (e.g. mental health, existentialism, social commentary) , but the comic generally has a PG-13 feel.

@Pencilz: I always smile and nod when that happens.

That feeling when a random stranger starts telling you his life story unprompted.

Hmm, it may be horrible weather, but I'm not sure if you're much better off being in this train full of dodgy people.

Thunk thunk!
I remember looking very long for the correct onomatopoeia for a train slowly taking off. Apparently it's "thunk thunk".

Who is this other mysterious suspicious guy?
I liked drawing this page a lot. No dialogue means bonus update! Expect the next page on wednesday :D

It took me quite a bit of time to make the rain look halfway decent here.

Good job, Sal. Don't trust suspiciously dressed strangers.

Hue shift!
I stopped feeling blue. Green is the way to go now. BTW: When I move to weekly updates, I'll probably post two pages, in the case one page only has some exposition without dialogue.

Nobody will believe me how much time it took to draw that train.

Trains come early.
More proof that this really is an alternate universe.

I loved drawing this page a lot, actually. First mystery: why the shocked face?

When I have to wait, I get bored. When I get bored, I start craving food.

For reader clarity:
The vending machine is not called Lynn.

In an alternate universe where public transport actually is on schedule.
The start of a journey...
There is something I like about vending machines during midnight. ^_^
