how do you make animated avater?

I have saw some users with a animated avatar how do you make one?

You need a program that can animate, Flash for example, then make the animation, save it as a .gif, and set that as your avatar.

thanks...but I don't have flash(or pivot) can you do the same with windows movie maker?

Windows Movie Maker isn't designed to make animated avatars, it saves them in movie formats.
From what I remember you don't need to install pivot on your pc to run it, you can just run it from your desktop, MS GIF Animator also does that.

You'll have to upload it to another site (such as Photobucket, Imgur, Tinypic, etc.) then use the direct link to set it as your avatar.
