Okay! I've read through this whole thing, been link clicking for quite a few hours now...
I'm in the process of editing Kingly Grunge.. Sooo yeah, help plzplox? I would of said 'eff this' by now but I really like the side bar :/
Erm, OKAY, I have primarily have three questions. Three very n00by questions, all color related. (Boy am I wishing I had learned html & CSS better when I had a bunch of nerdy friends in middle school x.x)
Image
1: I want to change the gold lines on the outside of the sidebars!
2: I want to change the gray behind the headline thing!
3: I want to change the color of the text! T-T I changed the color of links, hover and visited, but can't seem to do the rest of it. Headlines are fine white. I've tried looking it up but nothing I try seems to work for the body...
\(;A:\) Help plzplox and thank you~

Ok, I'll be editing this as I find the answers. First off, in order to change the grey color behind the header, you're going to go to Manage Webcomic -> Page Design/Appearance-> News/Welcome Page and find the block of code that looks like this.
Code: Select all
.post-title a
      {
         color: white;
         background: #333;
         padding: 6px;
         display: block;
      }

Then, all you have to do is change the "background: #333" and change the 333 to the hex code for the color of your choice.

As for changing the color of the text, are there specific parts that you want to change and others that you want to keep the same? If you are looking to change all the text to the same color, you will have to overwrite the exisiting CSS in place. In order to do that, open up your coding for the Overall Layout, and place this code between the <head></head> and <style></style> tags.

Code: Select all
body
{color: #hex code for color you want text to be ;}

If you want to change the colors of the text of the heeadings on the sidebars, such as "Synopsis, Misc, Links, and Affiliates", you can also add
Code: Select all
h1
{color: # hex code for color ;}

The h1 will also change the color of the page title and the "Author's Comments/User Comments" titles.

You can expirement with the different H codes (they go from 1-5, 1 being the biggest and 5 the smallest, and they only include non link based text) to see which text in the page they change and how you will like them done.

For the golden bars that encompass the page, stay in overall layout, and also post this between the <head></head> and <style></style> tags

Code: Select all
#sidebar, #sidebar2, #container
{
   border: 6px  double #453310;
   padding: 10px;
   text-align: center;
}

Then just change the hex code right after "double" to the color of your choice and that'll do it.

I think I got everything, let me know if you have any questions.

If you want to send me your overall layout code I can try an see why the body one isn't working.

Otherwise, no problem, glad to help!

If I recall correctly, Kingly Grunge specifies the color of the text for each individual element. So instead of editing the color of #body, try modifying the color of #sidebar, #sidebar2, #post, and #container.

I've done it before, but it was a really long time ago, so I forgot how to. How do you set a particular cursor on the page? I'm trying to set a Flygon cursor on Flygon and Elecman, and it won't work.

No, I'm saying I know the code, I just can't figure out where I put it.

It depends on where you want the custom cursor to appear. You want it on the whole page?

I'm not sure what you're referring to by "header". Could you be more specific?

In your Overall Layout, there should be some code that looks something like this:
Code: Select all
   <style type="text/css">

...
*some stuff*
...

   </style>

Right above the </style> line, add something like this:
Code: Select all
body
{
cursor:url(<url of your cursor),auto;
}

I'm using Top Banner V2 template and I'm trying to center my comic image, the size is 757x1100 pixel so on the right side parts of it pops out of the box area, that's why I'm trying to center it so it wont look too out of place. I've been looking through this on how to change this specific part but can't find anything on this. Can someone help me please? Thanks
