coloring and drawing test

Hi, I'm using SAI and I quite have fun with it. I'm quite happy about the sketchy brush I chose, but I'd like to make a more traditional watercolor look on the coloring... maybe more different paper texture? more colors blending together? your advice about it?

If natural media look is your main thing then Corels Painter is quite a bit above everything else still.

It can be costly though, so Krita or Mypaint may be more sensible options that most likely have a more secure future than SAI.

Indeed, even if SAI is fun I feel sometimes frustrated about the lack of tools. I tried Painter years ago and loved it but sadly I can't afford yet a better software. Thanks for your advice tho.
