Dear my Sketchbook. I've starved you for a while to make you a fighter to compete with other people's sketchbooks. Let's see if it pays off with this MONDO UPDATE.

I recently began a comic with my friend that's not here on SJ, so here's your chance to check it out.
Our first few were a series called "X-Men Babies"

Nightcrawler

Professor X

And then we got on to other things:

@ImHereNotThere: I'm tellin' ya, Tasteful Violence and Babies is like a comedic goldmine waiting to be tapped, just like Cats and Lasers.

@Terminal: Okay, here's what my friend said when he presented the idea:
IDEAAAA!!!! We NEED a Noir comic. An I have the idea right here.
Strip one.... Picture of smoking cigarette, hanging out of mans lip with a quilt coming up over his face. "When they asked me why I did it.."

Strip two... hands and quilt smothering the mans face. Assailant saying "When they call me a monster.."

Strip three. Assailant saying "all i'll say... is Quilty as charged."

Are you getting this? This is genius..

I was like, "I don't get it, why'd he kill him with a quilt?"

They're HUGE, sorry...

I'm very proud of my eyeball here. I modeled and textured it in Maya. All the textures were completely procedural, meaning the iris is not textured via a picture.

Here's my first attempt at lighting my scene for 3D Production. It's supposed to be natural sunlight, which is stupidly hard to do...

I'm on to modeling the background now. What I have there is just a rough Blocking phase. The character is not mine, I downloaded it. So credit where credit is deserved.

Full notebook doodles coming soon, but I actually transposed this one to digital because I like it so much.

It looks a LOT better if you click the detailed view of it. This is a huge picture.

Like the deviantart says, I always feel really awkward drawing women because I never seem to draw ugly women. Maybe it's because in my idealistic head, ugly women just don't exist? Maybe it's me projecting some suppressed desire to have a really hot girlfriend? Maybe it's that I'm trying to recreate some lost love that I "say" that I'm over, but really am not? Who knows...

3D Production

Finally FINALLY. That which has given me unending hell is finally over. I'm done with my 3D Production class. Here's my final animation for it.

I'm not proud of it.

Oh, and it's not my character, it's a pre-rig I got from Creative crash.
