And some Comments...

Why hasn't anyone posted?
I like them! I like colours.

i was gonna post but i forgot ¬_¬ lol

i liked the b/w one, the middle looks like teeth to me

The grey one is cool. It looks like something my buddy phyll would do...

Vitotamito wrote:Surprisingly enough, I used Photoshop.

I don't want to really give away the secrets to my success, but I'm just gonna say that the Smudge tool and a Tablet work really well together when you put a few colors over top of each other.

But thank you everyone for your comments. That's what drives me to do more!

Not entirely sure why.

Based off the ever popular Hindu piece, the Shiva Nataraja, I present to you: The Vito Nataraja. This translates to Vito: Lord of the Dance. He beats the drum of creation and plays with the fires of destruction whilst dancing upon the embodiment of negativity.

This is Vito, Lord of the Dance.
That was Quoted DIRECTLY from my deviantart.

Happy Valentines Day! I love you all so much.

The Following are a few pieces from my project I am still in the works with with my buddy Randall. He wrote poems, I provided Symbolic images.

Image
"Shatter the bowl, starving the ego
Suffocating stimulation
Grasping you tightly performing a show

Selfish acts in variation
Rythmic stimulus
My indulgences, your elation

Can not pull away from this
Do not lie, for this is heaven
Deeper and deeper, you look incredulis

When you feel good, should i not than?
I do this for you love, you know i swear it
Quiet for now, and down you bend"

Image
"Bed with baubles and temptation
Comfort dead, my pleasure wrung

Grant excessive penetration
Slide a serpent through my lung

Sleepless dreams of black and white
Frightful dreams in which i hung

Gaze in to the truthful night
Scared to realize what is right

Solace lay not in a little pill
In cessation there is revelation

Redemtion resolute within our will"

Image
"In this limbo, fear and concrete
Relentless passion shedding skin

Pining for all we wont meet
Shielding fiercley what's within

Painting all a morose hue
Pensive brush my next of kin

Lost my soul I will be you

Who are you but what I wanted
Nothing left I hope to prove"

Image
"Red envelops and grips me firmly
My own grip held tight
In my infancy

Keep this center with all my might
Please just let me stay inside you
Clutching weakness this feels right

Drunken self importance, this vicious brew
Your red kiss may be a prison...
I don't mind, it need not be true

Bloated in this paradise I live in
Foot one step closer to my face
When I may float, why should I swim?"

Killing time when the killing's right

We all know that George W. Bush was probably that one kid in high school who really liked the army and knew the different kinds of ammunition that went into guns that had names like MP5 or M-16 and knew what the heck a carbine was. You know, THAT kid, the one nobody liked, but were too afraid to tell him because he might shoot them?

Digitally Enhanced Painting:

Go!

Image
"Hello Eden

Far from home we
Sit and breathe in
Simple reason

Mid noon glisten
Roots at our feet we
Soar above the trees and
Always listen

Piece of madness we may travel in
Dreams of the dreamed

When split down ethereal seam
All you must speak

Is Hello Eden"

The process I used on this one was a really abstract one for me. I started it on canvas, but didn't paint all of the canvas, most of it is still white. The guy in the center was all one color until I outlined him and actually used acrylic paint mixed with a lot of water as sort of a watercolor style paint. I did the same with everything else in the picture as well. Once that was done, I scanned it into the computer and used photoshop to up the color and add the yellow in the sky and blue on the ground. It gave the ground a really mysterious effect. In other words, I'm happy with how this turned out in the final stage.

Vanpaia Naito wrote:I really like the concept on this one, but his body is a little too curvy, like a womans. A mans body has a more light bulbish shape.

http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n150/vitotamito/Pinkblueoriginal.jpg

Evolved into:

Image
"A shimmer of which I used to be used to
A promise of better days

Stay my hand to stay this blade
Stay my heart to stay this rage

A Gemini, another page
A beautiful figure within the haze

Beg of you to feel this too
I beg of you to follow through

Sing my eulogy or love me true
This fateful dance, I dance with you"

I'm keeping these quotes for posterity because Jason Maurer is a hilarious guy.

yazzydream wrote:Hm... I kinda like the right, but I see what you mean about the left. It's cuz u can see a little of the back on the left one, but if you made it so u can see the back on the right one (just a little) I think it'd be perfect.

btw, after you UV an object you can duplicate it right? I gotta get on that... >_>

Oh! And whose room are you doing?

Vitotamito wrote:The right one also has a bit more of a poster-ish feel. I'm thinking I'll render both and see which looks better in the end.

I totally UV'd my cans and duplicated, like, 50 of them. He also got upset because I over modeled and didn't work to my cameras. He said he would have fired me for costing him money. But that just means I'm going to be spending all day today and tomorrow night in the Dyson lab!

Room wise, I'm taking a LOT of creative liberties with the shelter they find in "The Road" by Cormack McCarthy. I don't think they found something that looks as though it came from Fallout 3...

Yazzy wrote:Ooh! That shot is lovely! The lighting and angle. And those vents! Omg, those vents! They look fantastic.

Is the last one one of your camera angles?

Ahaha, cost you money, XD love Maurer.

Vito wrote:Posted: February 9th 2009 1:14 pm Post subject:
Ha, I saw Jason walking down the road a couple days ago on my way back from Kroger! It was awkward because I had a bike load of groceries I was pushing. But yeah, he's an awesome guy.

Sadly the last image isn't one of my finals. There's a blank spot on the wall in the top right, and nothing in the foreground. I just liked the picture shadow wise, and didn't have a good one of my Garbage Can, which I also really liked. I've got a couple more lighting instances for my shots I'm going to play around with, and then, based on the best ones I'm going to choose 3.

For that shot, he says I should have something in the midground between the car and the table, but I can't think of what to make. I was thinking of loose papers and stuff, but I kind of don't want to ruin where it's at right now! The vents were like, my favorite part too. I was like, "Oh yeah, these look good!" while making them, and I think they turned out pretty swell!

Thanks!
