MOOSHROOMS (wip)
Spoiler! :

I haven't drawn in paper in awhile. D: Wanted this shirt to have more of a traditional, elegant feel to it, though. Because nothing says elegant like cows. Made of mushrooms.

Any advice?

Update on Mooshrooms. Deadline is Monday, so any feedback would be amazing.

The design elements blend in a little too well with the background. Perhaps you could lighten the foreground elements or use a lighter color overall?

The design itself is really cute though! Is it for a contest?

Ah, I suppose details would help. :P

It's for a t-shirt design contest, I intended for the base to just be the shirt colour. Think it needs more contrast, though?

Maybe, it's up to you ;) One-tone designs can be a bit hard to see if the base tone is already quite dark. Reapersun has a design with a similar aesthetic to yours (http://www.redbubble.com/people/reapers ... the-doctor), which also comes in a burgundy color -- you can take a look if you want to get a better idea of what your design might look like on a shirt.

Ah, thanks for the link! The "Cardinal" red seems to be a paler colour than that one, based on the template they use (I pulled the background directly from it), but it may still be a bit strong. I was originally planning to do the outlines in white/pale pink, so they would pop out, but I thought the dark lines had a classier feel. Maybe I'll submit both, so they can decide which works better.

Edit: Darkened each shade to the next one and stuck it on the template. The thumbnail does stand out a lot more. Not sure what I think of the lighter outlines.

One more design in progress. If anyone had tips on the creases, especially, that'd be awesome.

D'aw, I don't get the connection between Snoopy and Bilbo entirely but this is sure cute!

And for some reason this isn't the first time when I stumble on artists right when they are about to go off to the Military so I wanted to use this chance to say something nice about your art before you're gone for months! Best of luck with everything! :)
