For storybased more plot driven webcomics, how long is your average chapter?
12 pages, 20 pages, 30?

Do you even have chapters?

Twenty to twenty-five pages. Admittedly a very arbitrary length, but I like to keep it somewhat predictable so that people know when it's winding down.

I started out wanting to do 32-page chapters (the standard length for printed comic issues), but I keep needing much longer chapters. Now they're as long as they have to be to get that part of the story told. My shortest chapter is 24 pages, my longest is 55. The current chapter is 23 and counting. At this point I only keep the story organized in chapters because it makes the Archive quicker to navigate.

I use 10-20 pages, but it depends mainly on you. I use it to symbolize night and day.

I've seen things have 70-80 pages per chapter with it still being interesting. It's really up to you.

My comic's going by seasons, and it's likely that I might start my next season after a few hundred strips. I'm currently at 24.

It seems that the more comfortable I get with writing for comics, the longer my chapters get. They used to clock in between 20 and 30 pages. Now that my storylines are becoming, uh, meatier, they're usually upward of 40.

Average. 9 pages. But that's because a lot of older stuff I've done has really short chapters, so the average is brought way down. With newer stuff it's more like 20 pages per chapter.

It was 20 pages per chapter. Then I started releasing the pages with two on one, so now I have 10 pages to a chapter.

I'm still in my first chapter, but judging by the outline/scripts, I'm anticipating that the first two chapters will be relatively short (20-30 pages), while the later ones will become steadily longer (probably 50+ pages).
