digital/downloadable mini comics questions

Postby ReverieJC » July 26th, 2017, 5:20 pm

Hi,
I've been thinking about releasing digital editions of my mini comics, but don't really know how to go about doing it. Would I make scans (300 dpi ?) of each page and then compile them into a PDF file and make that available as a download? Are there different file formats more suitable for comic reading?
I also want to figure out how to get people to pay for it! :D
Thanks
JC

PDFs are the most common way. They're usually not 300dpi though, but lower, perhaps a bit larger than what you'd put online, perhaps around 150dpi. 300dpi is more suitable for printing.
You could also make CBRs (really just zip files of JPGs), but these days PDFs are easier to read on more different devices.
