I just finish writing a post about a few tips I found very valuable when I first learned inking. I learned those tips when I was working as assistant clean up for animation, so they might differ from traditional comic inking tips. But they are still very useful to me in both animation and comic art.

Also, a few weeks back, I wrote that one about an earlier part of the process, which covered my writing and page thumb nailing techniques.

Hope you find some of it useful! :)

The last image in that post links to the wrong full image.

I enjoyed reading both posts! I disagree with some of what you said, but everyone's got a different process, and it's always refreshing to read about how other people do things differently.

Oh you are right about the image! I have no idea how this happened. O_o Gotta investigate.

I'd be really curious to know what your thoughts are, and where you disagree.

In the end, drawing and creating is a very personal thing! Not so long ago, I was still stuck in the pitfall of believing there is one true way of doing things, always looking for THE definite "how to" for everything. Only to discover everyone somewhat talented kinda do their stuff the way they feel best. :o

Cheers!!!! ^.^

As a traditional artist, NattoSoupis hands-down one of my favorite resources, especially for things like specific product reviews and such. She does a TON OF WATERCOLOR TUTORIALS, so if watercolor's your thing, you would adore this site.

She does have a lot of tutorials- her site is a wealth of info for traditional comickers, or really anyone who enjoys doing comics.
