Self-Promotion Rules

    1) You may make ONE thread per comic. Not a new thread every month, not a new thread every bump, not a new thread for each author of the comic. ONE thread. That's it.

    2) You may bump once a month. A "bump" is when you post in your own thread in order to send it to the top of the topic listings. The initial topic, updates, news, contests, and all other types of promotional information count as bumps. Also, if your comic has multiple authors, your thread is not entitled to multiple bumps (i.e. one from each author).

    3) One conversational response per day. You may make one post per day in response to new comments left by visitors to your thread. Again, if your comic has multiple authors, your thread is not entitled to multiple thread responses (i.e. one from each author). If necessary, pick a single spokesperson for your Self-Promotion thread.

Summary: While searching for a phone signal near the ruins of an ancient civilization in the Andes, a young girl named Erin stumbles upon a gold necklace stowed in a hidden antechamber that reveals to her the presence of a forgotten being with incredible power. The revelations that follow entangle Erin in a quest to save tortured souls trapped for millennia and introduce her to a world of magic, mystery, and conquest unknown to the human race.

I've been developing the characters and story line for this comic for close to two years. I've waited till now to submit because I felt that my art from the past was not up to snuff and that I really didn't have the full idea for the story developed. I've currently written up through the first seventeen pages of chapter one. I'm interested in getting feedback both in terms of my art quality, dialogue and SFX, and my storytelling.

I'm excited to see my comic grow and develop and I so happy I get to share it with an online community.

Currently Talismans has reached its 21st page, with expectant updates for a new page typically once a week. The setup for the premise is nearly complete, and I'm eager for some feedback now that I'm a bit further along in my comic than I was when I initially made my first self-promotional post. I'd like to know what people think of the art (particularly that of the latter pages as I was really trying to nail my character designs for the first 10ish pages), as well as their first impressions of the story. I hope you all enjoy!
