RIP Chris Cornell

Postby Admin » May 18th, 2017, 9:32 am

Lost a legend today. One of my favorite singers from one of my favorite bands of all time. Seems crazy because he just played a concert last night and only 52. I was just telling my friends that I wanted to see Soundgarden live. What an artist this guy was. Rest in peace.

Daaaaamn, didn't know the guy by name but I love Soundgarden. They're one of my favorite B&B segments, too.
RIP you awesome grunge bastard.

What were everyone's favorite songs?

From Soundgarden, I've always had a soft spot for "Burden in My Hand". For Audioslave, "Show Me How to Live" or "Be Yourself" were standouts for me.

I think I won't be very original, but I mostly know Soundgarden, so Black Hole Sun. In fact, I posted it on the music thread.

I love everything Soundgarden from Louder Than Love to King Animal. It's impossible to pick my favorite songs without listing most of their discography. But shout out to this Johnny Cash cover of Rusty Cage:

And from Audioslave, it's Like A Stone, no contest.

And from his solo career: Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart, Dead Wishes, Higher Truth, Our Time In The Universe, When I'm Down, Wave Goodbye, Steel Rain, No Such Thing, and You Know My Name.

From Audioslave - Doesn't Remind Me

Solo - You Know My Name

Hate to be "that guy" but it's been confirmed that Chris Cornell committed suicide via hanging.

I'm kinda the same. My answer is Rusty Cage, which is a cliche answer but damn that song puts me in a good mood.

That was almost surreal to listen to. Never knew that existed.
