Could have sworn we had a thread that answered this before, but my weak search attempt yielded nothing, so...


Fans = people who while reading your comic or looking at its profile clicked "add to favorites"
Readers = people who may or may not have clicked this button, but have viewed your comic and returned at least once (if I remember correctly)

Reiz, when you want to ask a question about SmackJeeves, please do so in the "New Questions" forum in the Help Desk. Questions like that are off-topic here in General Discussion. Plus, questions that are answered here are less likely to be seen by people looking for the answers in the future.

Literally speaking, the word "fan" is short for fanatical which connotes a totally emotionally driven following to pursue another due to their works. A '"reader" is more based in a following due to an appreciative interest.

But definitions change with time and circumstances, so mitchellbravo perspective is probably more realistic.
