What makes a good sprite comic?

Simple question of opinion. Personally, plot over program, and decent grasp of colors. This includes recolors that don't hurt the eyes and limited to no colored text/word bubbles. Also originality, where you aren't just hanging with your favorite video game characters and fighting there foes or a fan comic about your favorite video game. Some exceptions are excepted, but going to have to be wow'd first, though that's with a lot of comics. Effort, which really should be something to expect in any comic.

Decent visuals, good writing, and most of all originality. Anyone could make a generic 4-panel gag comic parodying Megaman that are blatant Bob & George copies or something, but the best sprite comics are the ones that actually do something different. I also see alot of comics completely bastardizing character personalities. Whether it be unintentional, for the sake of cheap humor or to be melodramatic, I see alot of sprite comics that just randomly exaggerate exaggerated versions of characters. There are seriously so many Sonic comics that have random inappropriate humor that only a child would laugh at.

Also we need more Mario and Metroid sprite comics in the world, srsly.

A good sprite comic needs the necessities that a good drawn comic needs.
Interesting plot, decent art, and characterization.
