They're a bit old, but the Ninja Turtles Archie comics were great fun. And as a companion piece, the Mighty Mutanimals was a neat spinoff. Lots of action with a sort of innocent flair you just don't see in many comics these days.

Chris Spry's "Tooth and Claw" comic, which is like Redwall but with gerbils and other rodents. On a similar vein, "Harkovast" is like Lord of the Rings but with different classes of characters; it's got samurai, knights, though it's not really cartoony.

Chris works at College Humor on the side as one of the animators for their cartoons, so this is a pretty fun thing to see him do, all things considered.

Darc Sowers "Codename: Hunter" does have a bit of cartoon-style to it.

Some people might call them furry comics, but I wouldn't say so, it's just the characters that are like that. Doesn't change the fact that I'd recommend them. :) Worth checking out.

Jay Stephen's Land of Nod and Oddville books have a real Saturday morning cartoon feel (well, apart from the first Land of Nod which was more Liquid Television) so it's pretty cool he went on to create cartoons for both Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.

These. Couldn't agree more there.

Also, Tellos and Pakkins' Land. They're oldish, but both are great fantasy adventures.
