Webcomic media

Postby Razain666 » December 2nd, 2017, 10:29 am

I am currently working on my webcomic but I'd like to know if smackjeeves allows other media then just pictures. Can I make gifs, flash videos or even 2 bit games and post them on smackjeeves? If not do you guys know of a wedcomic site that does allow you too do so?

GIFs are just pictures, so you can upload them. However, make sure that they fit under the file size allotted for your comic's account type (500KB free, 2MB Donator, 5MB Premium), any gifs larger than that will be automatically compressed, which will make them lose everything but their first frame.

If you have a paid subscription for your comic (Donator or Premium), SJ allows uploading Flash files. I think Admin is looking into implementing support for Adobe Animate, though that probably wouldn't be implemented for a while. You can use Flash files for both videos and games.
