Jurassic Waste

All of the Jurassic movies follow the same formula of people go to where dinosaurs are and everything goes wrong. The problem with the sequels is that the wonder and awe of seeing dinosaurs that existed in the first movie is gone so they just try to put in more bigger and badder dinosaurs. Jurassic World even addressed this in the movie when Bryce Dallas Howard's character talked about why they created the I-Rex. I hope when the inevitable sequel comes out, they take the series in a different direction because the whole scenario where people arrive and everything goes wrong has been played out.

You've heard the rumors, right? That post Jurassic Park 2, there were 3 scripts floating around for sequels: One was turned into Jurassic Park 3, another was essentially Jurassic World, and the third is so unbelievably stupid, I think they're setting up for the next movie to be it. It revolves around the military gene splicing soldiers with dino-dna to create hybrid human/dinosaur super soldiers. Don't believe me? Jurassic World was ALMOST this disaster of a story:

So you might get your wish of going in a different direction, but not exactly how you'd think or like it to go.

They could show that movie on Sy-Fy right after Sharknado 3.

Isn't that going to be the script for Jurassic World 2? I mean Wu survived yet again and the InGen military wing still seems to have taken everything over.

I went in just expecting a bit of fun, and got what I wanted to be honest. I wasn't looking for the first JP, because then I'd have just watched the DVD box set at home.

By the way, did anyone else notice that this is the first Jurassic Park movie where you see a woman die? First there's the woman in the ACU when it gets wiped out, although I didn't directly see that one, and of course there's Claire's PA which we all saw in gruesome (slightly hilarious) detail. Of course, part of the reason for this is that none of the previous films really had minor female characters. They are either children or love interests, making it difficult to kill them off. First female minor character, WHAM!! xD

And that Super Mario Brothers movie. That actually has dinosaur/human hybrids in it, which brings things full circle.

I would thoroughly watch Super Soldier Dinos. I imagine it'd be filled with just as many stupid decisions and hilarious deaths at this movie.

I forgot to post in the thread when I saw this but I actually enjoyed the movie. It was exactly what I was expecting: humans making stupid decisions, dinosaurs outsmarting the stupid humans and wreaking havok on the population, a few badass moments here and there, and a romance that everyone saw coming a mile away. Plus that ending was fantastic, loved that overall scene. I will definitely agree about the heels thing, I'm really surprised she didn't take them off when they started. Even if they were in the woods, twigs and rocks in the feet would've been significantly better than tripping when the dinos attacked. Ah well, this movie wasn't about realism. Real people wouldn't have been that stupid. Or would they?

Spoiler! :
Now that I'm reading back through the thread though I wonder if I shouldn't have enjoyed it. Maybe I'm so used to "bad" monster movies that I find them hilarious.

Finally saw it. Now, I'm not saying they ripped off the ending from Walking with Dinosaurs(1999), but...
Spoiler! :

they totally ripped off Walking With Dinosaurs
