I'm in love with the NIER soundtrack! The tracks are really awesome and so inspiring to me.

The only video game music that stands out to me are from nintendo games. Like super mario 64:
Dire dire docks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzkLjqUw ... re=related
Main theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJULqD1j ... re=related
Snow mountain http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iZ_buAz ... re=related

Xbox 360 games I play just don't have music that makes an impact on me.
Except perhaps one final effort in Halo 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTi7LrXxbOI

Oddly enough one of my favorite tracks in Mario 64 was the file select music.
To this day I'm madly in love with that track. Bob-Omb Battlefield will always hold a special place in my heart too.

If we're talking Mario music, this is also my personal fave.

Also, on the topic of 64 games:

The soundtrack the NDS game The World Ends With You is really good because unlike things that have just basic BGM it has actual songs with lyrics that you could put on a music thing and people would recognise it as music.

For non-lyriced game soundtracks I love Final Fantasy 12 and the Dragon Quest 8 soundtrack is also nice to listen too.

I wouldn't call game OST's without lyrics "basic," but lyrics aren't a bad thing, either.

I just know there are a lot of game soundtracks I enjoy just as much as lyrical music, including soundtracks dating back to the SNES. 8-Bit music doesn't click with me as much, but you know what I mean, haha.

*EDIT*
Although speaking of game music with lyrics, Roar Of The Departed Souls is amazing. One of the many reasons I wish Mist Walker made their damn games multiplat. :|

Don't even get me started on 16-Bit, oh lawd.

Yoshi's Island, MMX1 and 2, the DK Country games, Secret of Mana, Super Metroid, every Mario game, the Gaia Trilogy, FFV AND VI, arhagbrkjahbkrhgbkarh.
I'm not even going to link to songs from all of them because I'd be here all day. SNES music is heaven.
