Welcome, welcome!

Please use the threads in this forum to nominate outstanding comics for the 2012-2013 Smackie Awards!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here in this thread, or check this thread to see whether your questions have already been answered!

Nominations will run from today through midnight, December 30th (GMT)!

Be sure to read the rules- remember, comics that don't meet the requirements will not be qualified to go on to the next step of the awards!

HEY HEY HEYHERE ARE TWO RULES THAT ARE PRETTY IMPORTANT
You may nominate up to 3 comics for EACH CATEGORY
Example: In the "Best Living Room Furniture Comic Category," you may nominate Chair Adventure, Ottoman Empire, and Television SET. You may NOT nominate Chair Adventure, Ottoman Empire, Television SET, and L.A.M.P. That is four comics, which is more than three. So don't do that.

You may nominate the same comic for multiple categories
Example: You may nominate Chair Adventure for Best Living Room Furniture Comic, Best Sitting Furniture Comic, Best Drama, and so forth if you like. Just use your best judgment to keep your nominations where they make sense. If you nominate Chair Adventure for Best Sprite Comic, and the comic is clearly drawn by hand, the Quality Control team will not count it as a sprite comic contender.

Now go off, gather those outstanding comics, and have fun!
Much luv,
Smackie

Couldn't spot an answer for this, and I know the 30-page rule is rather blunt, but I just felt I should ask... What of comics that are Completed, free or mostly free of filler but below 30 pages?
I have a favorited comic I was going to nominate before noticing that the comic was completed with only 24 pages, but they are legit pages.

I'm not one of the awards crew, but it would make sense to me to apply the same rule as per the spotlight.
So, if it's finished, it's still eligible.

epicness, this isn't the thread to nominate comics. Find the appropriate category thread and nominate there.

Methinks The Silver League is going to floor the Sprite Comic section. Have you SEEN that comic? Fantastic quality work, and the author manages all that with MS Paint! Goes to show that you don't need flashy programs to make a good sprite comic

Thank you Seven.

Guys, please, use the category threads in this forum to make your nominations. We managed to get this forum set up (thanks to Admin's kind assistance) so that we wouldn't be having to deal with wading through one long thread of nominations.

If you post your nomination in this thread it WILL NOT be counted. I repeat; A nomination made in this thread will not be considered legitimate and will be IGNORED.

I'll work on finding us some type of "legal" tax shelter for all of our "legal" income.

Is Mystery/Crime/Detective too much of a subgenre to get it's own category? (Or am I blind and it's there somewhere??)
