linking to other sites

So I have a question. I have my comic on SJ but I also host the same comic on my own personal domain. On that site I have a 'lore' section that I post a variety of topics on and such that link to their own subpages. I really want to have the same content on this site too to flesh out the comic world. But not only would it be tedious to duplicate all that again here, but I'm not even really sure how I would do it.

Is it acceptable for me to have a link in my SJ comic header that links to this? I don't want to break rules and I understand if this isn't exactly kosher. It's your site, I don't want to plaster something that could be perceived as advertisement on it. Just wanted to clarify. thanks.

Yep, you're welcome to do that! It's not against the rules at all.

I did something similar with an old comic of mine, it's no problem at all.
I even had a special "you're not on SJ anymore! click here to go back" bar that would display on the linked page if the referrer was SJ (in retrospect, this could've been done more simply by passing a parameter with the URL).

Edit: Unrelated, but your main site seems rather slow. The pages load fast once they start loading, but they take a bit to actually start loading. Sounds like the server itself might be slow?

neat! thanks.

yea it is slower than I would like. I use dreamhost. no idea if there's anything I can do about it. Had it for coming on 3 years now and it's never really been the pinnacle of speed. I would assume it's all on their end unless it's some sort of database issue.
